There’s one universal point I’ve been sharing with my friends lately, both artistic and non-artistic: rejection. I apply for scholarships, grants and funding, and so do they – and if not for funding, they send resumes and cover letters. The pattern is always similar: we first apply where we feel “closest”. We fabricate narratives about our vast design experience (which in reality happens to be a small college exhibition), our ability to work under time pressure (which most often means putting everything off until the last minute), or the impact of our artistic endeavor on the productivity and resilience of the Polish economy (…)” A.Urbańska
