About the artist
Caroline dropped out of Art College to train in Creative Movement at the Laban Centre. Worked with Action Space for 18 years in London. Street Theatre and Participatory Art Projects with people with local communities, and disabled people living in long stay institutions.
In 1987 set up First Movement with her partner Pete Shelton. FM (latterly called Level) worked together with learning disabled people to develop new arts language expressed in sensory sound, visual and movement events. The Level Centre uses digital and tactile interactive arts.
Caroline has worked all her life creating live art events with people. A space where play and creativity exist in a moment in time. The essence of being, communicating through touch, sound, energy, body action. The connection of people.
