About the artist

Christine Regn (aka Helga Broll) was born in 1964 in Nuremberg. He lives and works in various settings in Hamburg and Basel.

Chris Regn creates works as a conceptual artist using research and video, the potential of tradition and forms of representation. She draws inspiration from her work in the extensive archive «bildwechsel – umbrella organization for women / media / culture» in Hamburg, her work as a curator at the Kaskadenkondensator in Basel, her collaboration with various performance and art groups such as Evi, Nic & C, Tischgesprache and « Art+Feminism», an organization that edits Wikipedia entries. With the performance group Evi, Nic & C and Les Reines Prochaines, she created in a collective process stage programs such as “Cabaret”, “Dragking Trekking Show”, “The Vegan Opera” and others.

Since 2017, he has been working with «bildwechsel Basel» and manifesto «die digitale See» (digital sea, collaboration with Muda Mathis and Andrea Seamann) on the responsible publication of the collections and their accessibility.
