Jan Mioduszewski
About the artist
Painter, performer, installation artist. Since 2002, he has used the pseudonym Furniture Factory. Studied at the College of Art in Lodz, 1994-1996 and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, 1996-1999. Graduated from the Painting Department of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of Prof. Zbigniew Gostomski. In his art he deals with the issue of illusion in painting and depicting space. He creates quasi-useful objects that play with the viewer’s perception. He works at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and leads the Studio of Knowledge of Visual Actions and Structures.

The Line
The Lines are arranged from pieces of wood with some painterly interventions. They are used for dividing space. They mark the border and show the interior. The installation was presented as “Entropy on the Line” at the Entropia Gallery in Wrocław in 2022, then at the Faenza Church Italy.
The Hand
It is a video performance projected onto a screen which is a little sculpture hidden among useless object. It deals with the issues of limitation or bondage.
