Trying To Remember What Just Happened

Starts by asking 3 members of the audience to volunteer to stand in front of the projection field for 20 seconds and make some noises which are recorded. The performance can start two or three minutes after that and involves Video projection of a dymanic collage made from those audience members and an audio dub mix of samples taken from the noises they made and some additional ‘found sounds’ from the room. The aim is to explore the idea of ‘source’ through Alva Noë’s notion of the ‘entanglement’ between external ‘events’ (in as much as they exist) and our process of making sense of those source events as they happen in real time (our selective attention and active multi-modal perception) and as we immediately start to re-imagine and re-interpret them as soon as they are ‘finished’.
